Stand Up and Be Counted

Fill out your census people. It takes about 3 minutes (a minute more or less depending upon the size of your family). It is very simply basic questions. Very non-intrusive. In fact, I can't believe they aren't asking more! There is lots of data that it would help if they collected. The reponse rate is only 60% nationwide. My community is at 62%. That is pathetic, people!

PLEASE answer your census. The Constitution talks to the importance of the census. If you lost your form, go here for help.

I couldn't believe that's all they wanted. Or that they mailed out the freaking forms. And a preview letter. What a waste of money. Give me a .com any day! Oh well. Guess the post office is helped out.

I would agree that it's a waste of paper, until you remember that government has to take the "lowest common denominator" approach in providing basic services and communicating with the public. Since it's not yet reasonable to assume that everyone has access to the Internet for personal use, the govt. can't rely solely on that for data dissemination/collection. We're getting there, but we're not there yet.
