Isn't it soooo cool? I really like it. It was designed by Lauren at Designer Blogs. They have a special - book in January and get 30% off. So worth it.
And, btw, blogger finally fixed the problem with videos, so you can see adorable Big Man below.

It's My Blog-iversary!!!
Ok, not really. It was yesterday. I was too tired to do a post. How sad.
We had a crazy weekend. We redecorated Big Man's room this weekend - complete with a "big boy bed". Said bed is blue and shaped like a race car (acquired on Craigslist). It completely violates my prohibition on toddler beds. I always thought toddler beds were a colossal waste of money and time cuz then you have to transition from a crib, to a toddler bed, and then finally to a twin bed. Plus all the sheets and stuff you have to buy. But it was such a cute bed, and Big Man has a tiny room, so what the hell. We farmed the kids out to Nana on Friday night and started prepping and painting. We did that until about 11:30 on Friday before crashing. Then Sat morning we did a final coat and touch-ups, replaced the doors (YAYY!! I HATED the mirrored closet doors in his room that took up the entire back wall!), decorated, and wala! Finished about 4pm Saturday - in time to run to the grocery store before cooking dinner for 9 adults and 9 kids who came over at 5:30. Yeah. Luckily it was just pasta with this awesome Rachel Ray vodka tomato cream sauce - yummy! Yesterday was church/Sunday school, a playdate, baking from hell for this week's bake sale at daycare, gymnastics, home, dinner, bed. I am wiped out.
Tomorrow will have a post of Big Man's room. Sadly I forgot to take "before" pictures, but may be able to cobble some together from general pics taken in his room.

NaBloPoMo
I really wanted to do NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) - where you do a post every single day for a month. But why is it in November?? November is a crazy month for me. I always have at least one work convention out of town - sometimes two. And there is Thanksgiving. November just isn't a good month for me. I am thinking of doing my own version of NaBloPoMo for myself in January or February. I think that would work more for me.
Props to all those who are doing it!

Finish the Sentence
I saw this Meme on Diary of a Modern Matriarch and thought it looked fun. Rules are easy -
Finish the sentence.
Maybe I should learn to use my sewing machine.
I love the smell of stove-cooked popcorn (not the microwave crap).
People would say that I am busy!
Tomorrow I will start coming up with a plan to clean our old bedroom.
I don’t understand why people still support President Bush. (sorry, I really don't)
I lost my sanity long ago - thank God, or I would go crazy!
Life is great, fun, exhausting, joyous.
My past involves good times with good friends and family.
I get annoyed with close-minded people.
My idea of a good time is hanging out in my kitchen with my friends and our families.
I wish I had about 10 hours more a day!

I have low tolerance of ignorance.
Never in my life have I been water skiing (and not regular skiing since I was about 6).
High School was fun.
When I'm nervous I realize I am probably doing something good for myself.
I'm almost always doing six things at one time.
I'm addicted to decaffeinated raspberry ice tea.
I want someone to clean my house.
I am not going to tag anyone - but feel free to use!

Happy Blog-iversary to Me!
So this is the 1st anniversary of my blog. I am not sure why I started in on February 8, 2007. I hadn't really read many blogs at all, wasn't sure what I'd have to say (still not), or how/why I would use this in my life. But I have grown to really enjoy the blogging community. There are so many great ones out there (only a fraction listed in my blogroll). I have found such great advice on parenting, working moms, cooking, crafting, etc. It is truly amazing and I think, one of the best parts of the Internet. I'm not a Hillary Fan - but it really does take a village to make it in this world - and aside from my great friends and family, blogs are a big part of my village. Thanks to you all, and lets keep communicating and sharing!

Off for a Girls' Weekend
I am heading off with a few of my bestest friends for a girls weekend. As we will be in the wilds of West Virginia, I will have to miss Weekend Bloghopping again! Hope you all have fun. We plan lots of eating/drinking/lounging and card playing. Yay!
Oh yeah, And go Patriots! I don't actually care about football, but if I have to pick a team...

New Design
Oh my gosh, don't you just love my new blog design? I am very excited about it! It was created by Judith Shakes- isn't it great? If you have a blog - I highly recommend her. She is so easy to work with, gives you exactly what you want, quickly, and cheaply! So great. Thank you!!
