It is a new America. I couldn't be more proud of my country (and my state! Yay VA!)
Some of my neighbors had fireworks - real fireworks - last night. how cool. I have had very little sleep, but couldn't be more happy.
(ok, perhaps if Prop 8 had failed overwhelmingly in CA..still holding my breath on that one)

It was touch and go for a while but I knew we'd pull it through in Virginia.
It was an exciting night. A new era begins.
I stayed up watching is all. I couldn't sleep until I learned if VA pulled it out - wahoo!! And then when they called VA they called the election so I had to stay up for teh speeches!
