Blog Readers

So I read a lot of blogs. (current count=136). I read mom blogs, crafting blogs, diet blogs, foodie blogs, a few political blogs, and shopping blogs.

I could NOT do it without a feed reader. Basically, a feed reader keeps track of all your favorite blogs so that you only read ones with new content. That means I can check in with all 136 blogs in about an hour, sometimes less. I love it.

I use Bloglines. It is not perfect - sometimes it has glitches- but I am used to it, and not prepared to have to move all 136 blogs to some other service. Unless someone has a really good one? I love feed readers, its what works for me! For other works for me tips, visit: http://www.wearethatfamily.com/2009/05/wfmw-my-organizing-secret.html

wow, great news! Now all we need is kindle blogging, then we're really talking. I love the readers too. It's like flipping through my favorite magazine!

I just signed up for the google reader. It has done wonders in the short time that I have used it. I don't have nearly as many blogs that I follow as you but it has made life easier and I am able to add more.

I am ABSOLUTELY addicted to Google Reader. I could not read all of the blogs I do without it! I'd have like... a zillion and 1 bookmarks. Plus, I'm always discovering new and awesome blogs to read, so I REALLY NEED the reader!

I've hear of bloglines, but I use google reader. You're right...having a reader saves so much time. I like being able to "star" posts in my reader to come back to as well, rather than having 1,000 bookmarks! ;)

just came across your blog from WFMW... you are my new idol. i looked thru your blog a bit, and it is so refreshing to me (a 28 year old working mom of one) to see someone else who believes it IS possible to do it all and do it WELL. i typically get 2 reactions when the topic of me being a "working mom" (yes, annoying) comes up---people are either in awe of how i do it all, or they look down on me, assuming that if i'm doing it all then my child MUST be suffering as a result. usually it's the latter (from SAHM's, who are usually the ones who bring up this stupid topic in the first place.) anyway, thank you for taking time to blog and inspire--i agree, it is great free therapy!!!

Technically, the graphic is out of date. They are now 7 (as of April), 4 (5 in June) and 2 (3 in Aug).

It is a team effort...if it wasn't, at least one of us would be dead, possibly more (and "who" would depend on the day). :-)

Hi. I was just surfing around some blogs, and I came across yours. It’s pretty nifty and I’m really enjoying my stay here. I’ve bookmarked your site for daily visits, and I hope you’ll visit me. I’d love to have you. :) Have a great day and I’ll see you around the blogosphere. :)
